Meet Our Doctors & Staff
The Doctors
Dr. Chris Bryant, Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Bryant always knew that she would be a veterinarian. She graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She is married, has two wonderful children and lives with 5 pets. Susannah, her 19 year old cat, although deaf, is still playful despite her kidney disease. Rosie, her kind-of 12 year old dog was adopted a few years ago and manages to smile despite her hip dysplasia and now heart failure. Then, there is Ivy, the 14 year old golden mix that pretends to love Dr. Bryant, but leaves her in an instant when Grandma shows up to visit. Finally there is the rather recent addition of two very entertaining kittens, Oscar and Clarabell. Dr. Bryant is well versed in all aspects of veterinary medicine and will always make sure that your pets receive the best care available. She loves her career, is thankful everyday that she is able to be a veterinarian and has the help of a loving and supportive family.
Dr. Katherine Pepper, Veterinarian
Dr. Katherine Pepper has recently joined Cherokee Animal Hospital. She graduated from the University Of Georgia and is a fabulous addition to our team! We are very excited to have her with us. When not at work, Dr Pepper lives with her new husband and their three pets: Beemer the 11 yr old golden retriever that loves to play and nap with the cats, Denali- 10 month old cat that has a special relationship with the laser pointer and Bonzai - the polydactyl (extra toes) kitty aka "the love bug"

The Staff
Jill, the Animal Technician
Jill worked in the human medical field for several years before joining the staff of Cherokee Animal Hospital where she has now been a critical member for nearly 3 years. Second to her husband, the love of her life is a beautiful pit bull terrier named Stunner. He thinks he is the family child and loves to follow Jill's every step, stare out the screen door for any possible playmate and nap on the couch whenever possible. He now has his own full time playmate as they have recently adopted a feisty little Chihuahua named Taco. Jill keeps the hospital running on a daily basis by handling our inventory and much of our staff training in addition to keeping the doctors on track. She and the other technicians help the doctors treat animals, give medications, prep animals for surgery. She really enjoys being part of the medical team and likes nothing better than to watch pets thrive under the medical care of the staff at Cherokee Animal Hospital.
Beth, the Receptionist
Beth has joined our practice recently but has already become a vital team member. She is one of several smiling faces that greet our clients every day. She has quickly become a client favorite with her sweet, caring nature. Beth and her husband have two lovely American Cocker Spaniels. Potter who is 2 yrs old, loves to jog with Dad and prefers to drink from a bottle (like a hamster) instead of a bowl. We think he prefers his ears dry, thank -you very much! Then there is Reece, the 1.5 yr. old that also loves to jog with Dad and is the Boss of things even though she's smaller and younger than Potter. What Beth enjoys most about her work is getting to know the owners and their pets and seeing patients who were once sick, coming back feeling much better!
Angel, the Receptionist
Angel is also relatively new to our team but has quickly fit right in. Though attending school as well, she still finds the energy to keep smiling, ready to help our clients in any way possible. Angel has a beautiful German Shepard named Chief, with the convenient ability to open the screen door to go out and can let himself back in as well! Her favorite part of her job is seeing all our cute patients, sneaking treats to boarders, and playing with Stevie - the clinic kitty.
Rebecca, the Receptionist
Rebecca is also a critical team member though she too is a recent addition. She helps keep us on track and on time as much as possible while answering phones, checking in patients and tackling whatever other task Dr. Bryant has asked her to take on. Rebecca has a soft heart that that helps her succeed in her job as a great advocate for both our patients and clients. She has a loving family of growing children, supportive husband and a pair of sibling King Charles Spaniels: Romeo - 4 yrs old and Isabelle - 3 yrs old. Her favorite part of the job: Playing with all the patients!
Sonja, the Technician
Sonja is a busy girl going to school and working too. With plans to become a pediatric nurse, she is learning lots of medical information, though granted, it may not all apply to babies! She is smart and determined and keeps us laughing. Sonja has a beautiful 2 yr old dog Lola that rules the house, and knows it! Her favorite part of her job is knowing she is helping the patients and watching them get better.
Adam the Technician
Adam got his start at the Humane Society where he stayed for three years before joining CAH. He has the most diverse set of pets that include Batou the ferret & Canchi the chinchilla. Adam's least favorite part of the job: working with a house full of Girls! We're pretty sure he's joking...
