New Doctor Joins the Staff

Dr. Katherine Pepper joined Cherokee Animal Hospital in January of 2008. She is from the area having graduated from our own Cherokee High School then continuing on to the University of Georgia for her undergraduate and veterinary studies.
Please help us welcome her back to Canton, Georgia!

Pet I.D. Cards

You may notice we are taking pictures of you pets when they come in for their vaccinations. Now, when your pet has their full annual physical (exam, vaccines, fecal and other appropriate testing) you will be sent an I. D. card in the mail with your pet’s picture and vaccination dates. These are perfect for showing friends or as proof of vaccination. The cards arrive in the mail 4-6 weeks after your visit and are our gift to you, but you may purchase cards if your pet does not receive a full physical each year or if you simply would like additional cards.
Say Cheese!

If you know your pet is camera shy or if you have a favorite photo, you are welcome to bring it in for you card.

Computers

In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve gone high tech! All our patients records are now stored on computers. No more trying to read doctors’ handwriting or searching for misfiled records! All lab tests and blood work are also captured digitally within each patient’s individual record. This makes it easier to keep track of patients medications, dosages, weights and both past and present health issues.

But please, don’t look at the computers the wrong way, as they are very sensitive and are easily offended.

So, if you see us mumbling to ourselves or looking bewildered and confused, don’t worry. It’s just the computers making life easier…
